We were concerned at first about how Dolly would respond to Lynn and if Lynn would see Dolly as too big of a project to take on. Before working with Lynn, I was frankly unsure if I would be able to keep my dog. Lynn helped me understand why my dog acted as she did and what steps we should take to build trust and a strong relationship. After working with Lynn, I understand the power of positive training and have seen it work very well. My dog is still getting better, but we both understand each other well and she knows I only want to help her. It has been a paradigm shift for both of us.
Training with Lynn helped me be a better guardian and understand my dog's needs better. I now also have such a better understanding as to what it takes to build trust with my dog, who was a stray, and experienced unknown trauma.
Lynn is relaxed, confident and reassuring. Lynn's confidence made me more confident, and my dog sensed that. Lynn was also so well prepared for the training and had several toys to try and snacks to find just what worked best.
Through training with Lynn, I gained a much happier dog-guardian relationship, which is why I got a dog. I learned that ppositive reinforcement is the key. Food rewards are a strong part of that. I feel able to help my dog to be a better family dog and I can share what I learned from Lynn with them.
Lynn clearly is an expert in her field and takes great joy and pride in improving the lives of her two and four-legged clients.
My favorite part was learning more about the special things that are important to my dog (besides the basics that I already knew) and how I can help my dog be happier, more confident and less reactive.

Eddie was so new to us and we were all still learning about each other . It was a big learning curve. It was all about building trust. His leash walking improved tremendously. Eddie learned “Sit” and “Lay Down” and some paying attention strategies.
Lynn is patient and encouraging with lots of humor and able to really get a sense of WHO Eddie is.

This was the first time we worked with a trainer and fully enjoyed the experience. Winston is an amazing puppy that has learned so much. He is better on the leash, sitting at doors and giving us cues as to what it is he needs. He still falls victim to chasing squirrels but we all have our issues.
Before training we couldn't leave the house without worrying about Winston, now we know he will be safe and happy and we can leave without pause.
The top 3 things I learned were:
1) Understanding my puppy and the cues he gives me
2) Patience is the key to success
3) Sometimes its harder not to give him what he wants but better in the long run for his training.
Lynn works with each owner and dog/puppy on their own needs. She has a great playbook but pulls the needs of the owner and puppy forward. Though we had a lot to work through with Winston she took it one step at a time and set him up for great success. My favorite part of the program was watching my puppy transform and become a happy, settled, trusting little man.
